The other day, while in the car, I had a lot of random thoughts going on in my head and I was talking through some of them. Yes, out loud. Several minutes had past and my conversation may have gotten pretty serious because my 3 year old interrupts me and says, “Mom, who are you talking to?”
Hmmm… Who was I talking to? It didn’t take long to answer because I knew. “I’m talking to Jesus” I told her. “He’s always listening and he always hears us.”
She had a look on her face like she was really thinking. Then she said, “Is that who you sing to?”
I chuckled a little and said, “Well, yes, I guess I do. Do you like my singing?” I asked her. She looked at me, stated to giggle and said, “No.” and kept giggling.
OK, so I may not be able to win THE VOICE, much less be a contestant on the show, but I do have a voice that was made perfect for me. God had a specific plan in mind when he created my voice and it wasn’t his intent for me to keep it to myself.
There are definitely times I could take the advice of James 3 and tame the tongue, but there are also times I need to allow my voice to be heard.
So many times I have kept to myself out of fear of what people will think of my thoughts if I shared them. I honestly feel we are given thoughts with the intent of them being sincerely shared; it might take a little strength and courage at times, but we must share them.
The passions that are placed deep in our hearts are meant to be shared with the world. They are the talents and gifts given to us by our creator. When our passions drive our words we are speaking God’s truth and love. People will not always like what we have to say, but when it is heartfelt, whether they like it or not, it’s more than likely exactly what they need to hear!!
John 8:31-32 (NIV) Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I joined not knowing what to expect… my time with Recharge has taught me to ALWAYS put God first. I also learned weight loss is not always about the pounds but the weight of your heart and mind. This journey showed me what it means to seek God first in all things. I lost a few pounds but I gained more insight about myself and that is huge for me. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a better life.-Karen
In 8 weeks I experienced, for me, an epiphany. I learned I needed more than just a great workout to help my health journey. Jill introduced me to her program and incorporated a healthy way of eating, moving, and praying. I’ve learned how to include God in my everyday. Jill’s kindness and knowledge has taken me to a new path on my wellness journey. I have incorporated new habits into my daily routine that help me be the best me i’ve ever been. thank you, Jill, you will always be cherished.-Pam
This program has helped give me a renewed peace and perspective on fitness and nutrition. I was one who struggled with an “all or nothing” approach, and through this program I was able to learn that I was lacking God in that area of my life. The program taught me that God does want me to be healthy and whole. Putting God first didn’t mean abandoning my health and fitness. I have made some great new friends, I am stronger, have more energy and endurance, and I have a healthier relationship with both food and my workouts. I highly recommend this!-Theresa
