Romans 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.
Paul is encouraging us to be grateful and honor our bodies!
Having the right attitude toward God and who he is, allows us to have more gratitude about ourselves, the way our bodies look and move, and what our gifts are. We are asked to use every part of our bodies in a manner that pleases God.
God designed our bodies to function at their best – with proper nourishment and movement.
We are in control of our choices and every choice, good or bad, has a consequence.
Someone close to our family passed away a few days ago of a heart attack at the age of 58. He was not healthy and his body couldn’t function under its original design. His health issues were brought on by his choices and they all could have been improved had he made a few changes.
We are told in James 1:2 that we will face trials of many kinds, but this testing of our faith produces perseverance.
I encourage you, this week (and always) to think about the choices that come before you and ask yourself… Does this honor my body?

I joined not knowing what to expect… my time with Recharge has taught me to ALWAYS put God first. I also learned weight loss is not always about the pounds but the weight of your heart and mind. This program has helped give me a renewed peace and perspective on fitness and nutrition.
